A SOLDIER’S PRAYER
A Soldier’s Prayer
Please forgive me, I am no longer on the battlefield, but I am on the battlefield of my mind.
I often treat my neighbor as my enemy.
Rather than assisting in search and rescue, I put up my “guard”
and don’t let anyone in.
Whatever someone says or does, I use it to justify my own self-destructive ways.
I carry the weapon of anger with me wherever I go.
The tormnet of what I experienced haunts me.
Please cleanse me from all experiences that I have had that
caused me to lose sight of who I am
And who You are.
Enable me to leave the past in the past.
Enable me to breathe in Your Divine wisdom, love, and healing power.
As I become who you would have me to be,
Enable me to open the door and be a guide along the way
For there are many who are lost as I have been.
